Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Naples, FL is hiring a Climbing Arborist Crew Leader for an on-site outdoor role. You will direct a crew, climb trees with DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems, and perform arboricultural services for clients across various landscapes.

Responsibilities include leading safety practices, pruning and removing deadwood, installing support systems, and mentoring team members through Davey’s development program.

Qualifications

• Must love the outdoors and enjoy working outside in varied conditions.
• Complete Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: relevant pesticide licenses/certifications.
• Preferred: ISA/TCIA certifications for arborist/tree worker.

Responsibilities

• Directs crew and equipment; plans and executes tasks.
• Climbs trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Leads crew to provide arboricultural care for clients.
• Addresses jobsite hazards, obstacles, planning, and HOPE process.
• Prunes, thins, and removes deadwood in the canopy.
• Installs cables, bracing and lightning protection as needed.
• Removes hazardous trees and ensures safety.
• Mentors crew through career development program.
• Maintains and operates tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, lifts).

We are currently looking to add a dynamic Climbing Arborist Crew Leader to our passionate team of tree care professionals. Your office is outdoors, and you get a new view every day!

Directs crew members and equipment and plans and executes assigned work or tasks by performing the following duties.

What You'll Do:

Directs crew members and equipment and plans and executes assigned work or tasks by performing the following duties.

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Safely and productively lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for our clients.
• Including but not limited to:
• Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E) process
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
