Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Portable Climate Solutions Setup Technician to safely deliver, install, and remove climate control equipment at customer sites. You will plan daily routes, prep yards, and communicate with customers, sales, and internal teams to ensure equipment is ready for rent with high safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of mechanical/technical experience, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of work experience with mechanical/technical skills.
• Basic equipment knowledge and troubleshooting HVAC, evaporative cooling, dehumidification, heating, air purification, remediation and ventilation.
• Able to lift 40 pounds and carry 5 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus.
• Must be at least 21.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily delivery and pickup schedule.
• Prepare rental equipment and materials for shipment (yard prep).
• Represent Herc Rentals when communicating with customers, sales, and internal teams.
• Maintain tools and supplies needed to complete projects.
• Document projects using iPad/laptop/phone and voice recognition tools.
