Job summary

The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) seeks an Events Manager to lead planning and logistics for in-person and hybrid events, including Climate Week NYC, COP, and internal HQ gatherings in Washington, DC. This role emphasizes brand stewardship, collaboration, and delivering a polished attendee experience.

You will manage staffing, contracts, AV, logistics, and catering, working with program, development, and communications teams while aligning with C2ES priorities and DEIJ

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of direct event planning experience.
• Proven track record planning, overseeing and executing high-impact in-person and hybrid events.
• Experience in contracts with external vendors (production, AV, catering).
• Strong project management, attention to detail, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead logistical planning and execution of major external C2ES events and meetings in DC and around the world.
• Serve as in-person 'event captain' for major events, staffing plans, run-of-show, and close-out.
• Manage end-to-end logistics for in-person and hybrid events: venue, vendors, registration, catering, AV, marketing, travel.
• Support program, development, and communications teams in planning additional events as capacity allows.
• Lead planning and execution of C2ES-hosted external-facing events in our DC office (panels, talks, roundtables).
• Oversee high-quality event production, set-up, livestreaming, catering, marketing.
