Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, seeks a Climate Solutions Equipment Associate in the Power/HVAC division to perform jobsite installations and minor repairs safely at customer sites. You will operate the delivery vehicle and install HVAC and dehumidification/air purification equipment, with room to grow into higher level technical roles.

Excellent safety standards, professional conduct, and teamwork are expected as you support customers and contribute to service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge with repairing and maintaining HVAC equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with common tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to be on an on-call rotation for 24/7 emergency service.

• Report equipment condition before and after usage.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Assist with loading and unloading of equipment.

What You'll Do

• Minor repairs, maintenance checks and the cleaning of equipment
• Report equipment condition before and after usage
• Demonstrate equipment for customers
• Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge with repairing and maintaining HVAC equipment preferred
• Mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Willingness to be on an “on call” rotation for 24/7 emergency service

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
