Grassroots Team Specialist | Communication, New Hires, Recruitment. Apply today! Start soon! This role involves canvassing and fundraising on behalf of a nonprofit partner, Greenpeace USA, focusing on environmental advocacy and public engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Canvass door to door and on the street to engage the public in conversations and raise support for the nonprofit partner.
  • Represent Greenpeace USA and participate in an extensive training program at all levels.
  • Work in a fast-paced, community-oriented environment with opportunities for rapid advancement to roles such as Field Manager, Field Director, or Canvass Director.
  • Maintain a meaningful, compliant approach to fundraising and public outreach.
Hours
  • Tuesday to Saturday 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Compensation
  • Base Pay: $23.76/hr
  • Bonus System: up to $30/hr
  • Potential total weekly earnings: $25 - $450+ in bonuses (uncapped for high performance)

Requirements & expectations
  • You do not need prior canvassing or fundraising experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • You will be walking through communities and neighborhoods daily, talking to people about serious issues and encouraging them to join the movement.
  • You must be comfortable fundraising door-to-door in neighborhoods and face-to-face in designated public areas, and able to go up and down hills and stairs multiple times a day in all types of weather year round.
  • You will be raising money, support, and memberships for nonprofit groups.
