Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in climate change or a related field.
• Advanced degree preferred, or equivalent by experience.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with diverse grantees.
• Excellent English language writing, synthesizing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong analytical abilities and organizational skills.
• Comfort with budgets and financial information.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis to support strategic priorities and operational planning.
• Develop presentations, graphs, and charts to contribute to strategy and planning.
• Assist leadership in preparing program strategy and evidence for grant approvals.
• Support grant management processes to enable efficient and effective philanthropic activity.
• Track grantee work and review grants reports with grantees.
• Prepare strategy background papers and portfolio investment reports for timely production.
• Draft summaries and analyses of grant proposals.
• Participate in all aspects of grantmaking, including screening potential grantees and development of funding proposals.
• Coordinate planning of meetings, travel, and consultant contracts.
• Maintain grants database, budget spreadsheets, and grant calendars.
• Support planning, reflection and learning processes with research and materials.
• Proactively build external knowledge networks and monitor field developments.
