Job summary

Aspen Public Radio seeks a broadcast journalist to cover climate and environmental issues across the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys. The ideal candidate will report, write, produce, and host, delivering live newscasts and interviews.

You will join a small, collaborative team, work on evenings and weekends, and focus on solutions-based reporting on local policy, energy, water resources, and the Colorado River Basin.

Qualifications

• Experience in radio reporting, editing, and production.
• Strong on-air anchoring and live interviewing skills.
• Excellent writing and editing abilities.
• Ability to collaborate and meet deadlines in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality, accurate radio reports.
• Write and produce spot news, features and interviews.
• Cultivate sources across Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys.
• Create digital content for the website and social media.
• Serve as substitute host on Morning Edition or All Things Considered as needed.
• Assist in live event production and on-air fundraising drives.
