Job summary

Bezos Earth Fund is seeking an accomplished communications leader to develop and execute plans for the Nature Portfolio. You will partner with media to secure interviews and craft compelling stories, translating complex science into accessible messaging that supports our mission.

The role requires 7+ years in communications, experience with national/broadcast press, and proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or French. Expect a hybrid schedule based in Washington, DC, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience working in communications.
• Ability to land interviews and drive positive press.
• Experience developing and executing integrated communications plans.
• Proven experience working with press across national, broadcast, and/or trade.
• Professional working proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or French.
• Hybrid work arrangement based in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communications plans for the Nature Portfolio, identifying milestones and storytelling opportunities.
• Actively work with media to land interviews and craft stories that highlight our work.
• Translate complex scientific work into clear messaging aligned with the fund’s mission.
• Draft and edit briefing documents, talking points, and social/web copy.
• Collaborate with agencies to create videos and assets for social channels.
• Support grantee meetings to surface content opportunities and content across portfolios.
• Help build owned content cadence (social, website) that showcases impact.
