Job summary

Adamah NY seeks an experienced Climate Action & Resilience Manager to expand climate mitigation and resilience across New York's Jewish community institutions. The role partners with government agencies, utilities, and nonprofits to launch a new Climate Security & Resilience program and guide collective action.

The Manager will work with a part-time Administrative Coordinator to advance education, outreach, and strategic collaborations, building a leading model of climate action in the Jewish

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years in climate policy, sustainability, resilience, or nonprofit leadership.
• Strong understanding of climate mitigation and resilience planning.
• Experience building cross-sector partnerships and facilitating collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Climate Security & Resilience program development and rollout.
• Build partnerships with NYC and NYS agencies on resilience and emergency management.
• Deliver workshops, webinars, and trainings for Jewish and communal leaders.
• Coordinate a pilot resilience initiative with flood-prone institutions.
• Develop the Jewish Community Climate Resilience Playbook and resources.
• Identify funding opportunities and partnerships to sustain the program.
• Oversee grant reporting, milestones, and program evaluation.
• Support coalition growth and member Climate Action Plans.
• Design local programming including learning sessions and workshops on climate solutions.
• Develop materials and guides for partners and hubs.
