Job summary

Mission Harbor Behavioral Health is seeking staff to support clients in daily programming and ensure adherence to facility rules and documentation protocols. Frontline interactions will involve guiding clients through daily activities and maintaining accurate census data.

The role requires experience with addiction/mental health populations, familiarity with 12-step models, and a sobriety period if recovering, plus strong ethics and communication skills to model appropriate behavior.

Qualifications

  • 1 year experience with a substance abuse/mental health population
  • Familiarity with the 12-step model
  • At least 1 year of sobriety if recovering

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates clients' daily activities in the facility.
  • Maintain current and accurate census report
  • Observes and monitors clients' behavior and intervenes based on schedule, individual client's treatment plan and facility needs.
  • Facilitates attendance at assigned groups/meetings/activities per program schedule.
  • Writes in activity log (including check-in and check-out as well as a summary of the
  • Ensures physical facility safety and security by conducting regular checks for working CO2, smoke, and fire alarms, perimeter checks, and working lights and fixtures.
  • Orient new clients to facility rules and client guidelines.
  • Follow emergency procedures (including phone call protocol, etc.)
  • Maintain food and supplies inventory
  • Conducts supervised UA drug screen collection when directed, following appropriate procedures.
  • Other duties assigned.

Basic Functions:
