Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency is seeking a Client Support Specialist on the Surety team in a hybrid role in Columbia, MD. You will assist with bond preparation and execution, service new and renewal accounts, and maintain filings while building strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a fast-paced office, MS Office skills, and a Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain within 90 days). Prior surety experience is a plus. Hybrid schedule with competitive benefits.

• Experience with Contract and/or Commercial Surety is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and execution of bonds (performance & payment, license, court, misc. bonds).
• Service and market new and renewal Surety accounts, process indemnities, maintain power of attorney filings and bond supply.
• Build and retain relationships with clients and insurance carriers.

A day in the life.

As our Client Support Specialist on the Surety team, you’ll assist with the preparation and execution of bonds (performance & payment, license, court, misc. bonds), including collecting data, completing necessary forms and preparing correspondence. You will service and market new and renewal Surety accounts, process general agreement of indemnities, maintain power of attorney filings and bond supply, and build and retain relationships with clients and insurance carriers.

• 2+ years in a fast paced office environment
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, Word, Excel, Outlook
• Property & Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain within 90 days).

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

• Experience in Contract and/or Commercial Surety
• Accounting or Financial background is a plus!
• Proficient use of agency software such as Sagitta, Image Right, Tinubu
• Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $35,600 to $66,200.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
