Job summary

First Horizon Bank is seeking a detail-oriented banking professional to open new accounts, gather complete client documentation, and perform due diligence including KYC and ownership verifications. You will maintain records, handle account servicing, and respond to client inquiries about products and policies.

You will escalate complex cases, identify cross-sell opportunities, and support loan operations across teams while ensuring compliance with internal controls and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2–4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Open new accounts and obtain complete documentation from clients.
• Review entity due diligence, KYC, and beneficial ownership information to satisfy compliance requirements.
• Image and index client documentation to ensure proper recordkeeping.
• Perform account maintenance, including adding/removing signers and updating client records.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding bank products, services, account details, and policies; conduct account research; file and process fraud claims.
• Handle escalations for high-touch or higher-complexity clients and resolve issues end-to-end.
• Proactively identify cross-selling opportunities, recommending bank products and services that align with clients' needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of banking systems, processes, tools and controls for associates.
• Manage more complex servicing needs and coordinate across teams.
• Research and resolve documentation exceptions; assist with loan, collateral and deposit exceptions.
• Provide loan support to relationship teams, including payments and fees processing.
• Understand loan documentation and differentiate internal loan docs; know attorney-prepared documents.
• Collaborate with Loan Ops, Treasury Management and Deposit Operations to monitor lending and services.
• Assist in generating reports from banking systems and platforms; compile relevant data.
• Pay invoices and assist with administrative duties to the Market President.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Open new accounts and ensure complete, accurate documentation is obtained from clients
• Collect and review entity due diligence, Know Your Customer (KYC), and beneficial ownership information to satisfy compliance requirements
• Image and index all deposit and client documentation to ensure proper recordkeeping
• Perform account maintenance, including adding/removing signers and updating client records
• Respond to client inquiries regarding bank products, services, account details, and policies, conduct account research, file and process fraud claims
• Handles escalations, high-touch or higher-complexity clients, and can independently resolve issues end-to-end
• Proactively identify cross-selling opportunities, recommending additional bank products and services that align with clients' operational needs
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of banking systems, internal processes, tools and resources available to associates, and controls designed to protect the bank and our clients
• Manages more complex servicing needs, coordinates across teams, and navigates nuanced client situations
• Research and resolve exceptions in required documentation; loan, collateral and deposit exceptions, assist with past dues
• Provide loan support to relationship teams, collection of payments and fees, processing advances on lines of credit
• Demonstrate knowledge of the loan documentation process, including the ability to identify and differentiate internal loan documents, as well as an understanding of attorney-prepared documentation
• Collaborate with Loan Operations, Treasury Management and DepositOperations to ensure ongoing, satisfactory monitoring oflending, depository and Treasury Management servicesfor clients
• Assist in generating reports from banking systems and platforms, accurately compiling relevant data in alignment with line of business and reporting needs, if requested
• Pay invoices and assist with administrative duties to the Market President
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
