Job summary

Knitwell Group’s Talbots location in Columbia, MO is seeking a Regular/Part-time Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer experiences and build lasting client relationships. You will support service initiatives, meet sales metrics, and assist with opening/closing the store.

The role requires a flexible schedule (including evenings, weekends, holidays), strong communication, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs. Apply via myHRSupport@knitwellgroup.com.

Qualifications

  • Ability to provide exceptional customer experiences and build client relationships.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Create and foster a culture of hospitality through exceptional customer experiences and build enduring relationships.
  • Support all service enhancers to build strong relationships including active use of Concierge.
  • Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas including: Clientelling/Outreach, Appointment Setting, Talbots Classic Awards etc.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet customer and business needs.
  • Seek to understand customer needs with curiosity and confidence through intentional conversation.
  • Share current products and fashion trends to wardrobe and inspire confidence.
  • Participate in community/store activities and promote the Talbots Brand.
  • Lead/supervise others on occasion and open/close the store.
  • Represent the brand image professionally.

Who You Are:



  • Driven to create, build and cultivate relationships with customers and the community with a focus on prospecting and establishing a strong clientele from existing and new customers.

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high level of integrity.

  • Demonstrates strong planning and organizational skills to proactively contact clientele with the intent to sell in a way that is relevant, timely and meaningful for her.

  • Professional, assertive, and friendly with the ability to make decisions independently.

  • Possess the technological aptitude to navigate POS/computer/iPad/handheld systems.

  • Available at least (20) hours per week.

  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Comfortable climbing ladders, moving around regularly, and standing for extended periods of time.

  • Able to bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.

  • Responsible for leading/supervising others on occasion and opening the store for business and/or closing the store.

  • Professionally represent the brand image.
