Job summary

PRO Resources in Detroit Lakes, MN seeks an Account Specialist to serve as the primary contact for assigned clients within a PEO environment. You will coordinate payroll-related communication, generate reports, assist onboarding, and support internal teams to ensure timely, accurate service.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in payroll or client service, familiarity with PRO Software/UKG/ADP, and strong communication and organization skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, HR, or finance.
2+ years of payroll, client service, or account support experience.
Experience in PEO, payroll service bureau, or HR outsourcing environments preferred.
Knowledge of payroll processes, benefits, garnishments, and reporting.
Experience with payroll/human resources systems (PRO Software, UKG, ADP).

Responsibilities

Serve as first-line contact for assigned clients and educate on platform self-service.
Respond to client questions and track requests through resolution.
Support Client Account Managers with follow-up, reporting, and system questions.
Maintain accurate notes and client preferences in CRM.
Escalate complex issues to the appropriate expert while staying within scope.
