Job summary

Impact Financial Group is seeking a Client Service Specialist in Indianapolis to support Financial Advisors and Client Relationship Managers. You will handle client service requests, onboarding activities, account maintenance, and routine paperwork while ensuring a seamless client experience and strong operations support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of client service, financial services, banking, wealth management, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting advisors, relationship managers, or client-facing professionals preferred.
  • Working knowledge of investment accounts, account servicing, and financial services operations preferred.
  • Strong technology skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Series 7, Series 66, and insurance licensing preferred or willingness to obtain based on business needs.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and industry education.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client service requests and inquiries.
  • Deliver proactive, responsive service that strengthens client relationships and enhances the overall client experience.
  • Conduct regular client outreach to anticipate needs and provide timely support.
  • Partner with team members to address client needs and escalate complex issues as appropriate.
  • Prepare, process, and track account paperwork, forms, and service requests.
  • Assist with account opening, transfers, beneficiary updates, address changes, and account maintenance activities.
  • Process money movement requests and support transaction-related activities.
  • Ensure paperwork is completed accurately, submitted timely, and tracked through completion.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation in accordance with firm and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the onboarding process and manage workflows in CRM and Ameriprise systems.
  • Coordinate documentation, signatures, and account setup requirements.
  • Monitor outstanding items and provide status updates to clients and team members.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve client service processes and workflow efficiency.
  • Provide direct support to the Client Relationship Manager in servicing clients and managing ongoing relationships.
  • Assist with preparation for client meetings, reviews, and planning discussions.
  • Prepare meeting materials, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Summarize client meetings, maintain follow-up notes, and coordinate action items.
  • Partner with the Client Relationship Manager to ensure requests are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support advisors and team members with client service, operational, and administrative activities.
  • Coordinate scheduling, meeting preparation, and client communications.
  • Assist clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Provide branch operational, administrative, and reception support as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and firm initiatives as assigned.
  • Adhere to Ameriprise Financial policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation for all client service activities.
  • Protect client confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
  • Participate in operational reviews and quality control processes to ensure service excellence.
  • Support audit, compliance, and risk management activities as required.

Step into an instrumental role. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial. Assist in daily client service and business operations.

The Client Service Specialist supports Financial Advisor(s), the Client Relationship Manager(s), and other team members in delivering exceptional client experience while helping clients work toward their financial goals. This position provides client service and administrative support across the practice, ensuring efficient execution of service requests, account administration, onboarding activities, and operational processes. The Client Service Specialist serves as a key point of contact for clients and works collaboratively with the Client Relationship Manager(s) to deliver a consistent and distinctive service experience.

Key Responsibilities
Client Service Support
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client service requests and inquiries.

Client Relationship Manager Support
