Job summary

Peapack Private Bank & Trust is seeking a Client Service Officer NYC to manage complex client relationships for high-net-worth individuals and their businesses. The role emphasizes delivering customized financial solutions with independent judgment in a private banking setting.

The CSO partners within the Commercial Banking team, onboarding clients and guiding them through product choices while maintaining strict risk and compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of banking operations and products.
  • General understanding of CRM system.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an advisor and escalation point for HNW clients.
  • Onboards clients and ensures a white glove experience.
  • Exercise discretion in prioritizing client requests and resolving complex issues.
  • Provide guidance on banking products and service approaches.
  • Identify and mitigate operational and compliance risks.
  • Make determinations on escalation and exception handling.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on KYC/AML.
  • Assists group directors with other tasks as needed.

Position Overview

The Client Service Officer (CSO) serves as a partner within the Commercial Banking team, responsible for managing complex client relationships and exercising independent judgment in the delivery of customized financial solutions for high-net-worth (HNW) clients, and their business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as an advisor and escalation point for HNW clients

  • Make determinations on escalation and exception handling
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on KYC/AML
  • Assists group directors with other tasks as needed
  • Operate with agility and adaptability, responding effectively to changing priorities and business needs
  • Demonstrate curiosity and a learning mindset, continuously seeking to improve and grow
  • Utilize AI and technology tools responsibly to enhance productivity and decision-making
  • Show ownership and critical thinking, using sound judgment to solve problems and deliver results
  • Deliver white-glove hospitality, providing thoughtful, proactive, and personalized service in every interaction
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of banking operations and products.
  • General understanding of CRM system.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management and external clients.
  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer.

The approximate pay range for this position is $79,918 to $87,000, plus an opportunity to earn performance-based incentives. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
