Starting Rate: $18.00 per hour, Part Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday 3pm-8pm or Monday-Thursday 3pm-8pm
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Client Safety Specialist workswith site staff to keep the site welcoming, safe, and secure. Responsible foroverseeing the safety and security of the site, waiting areas, and buildinggrounds to ensure an inviting, supportive, and safe environment for staff andclients. The Client Safety Specialist is a member of the building team andcoordinates activities with the team and with the various programs located atthe site.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greetclients and visitors entering/exiting the building.
- Assistin the screening and routing or providing directions to clients and visitors,especially during check-in/check-out.
- Assistpatients in adhering to clinic policies/procedures/rules (i.e., time slotting).
- Assistother staff in maintaining a stable and respectful environment.
- Superviseentryway and waiting areas to ensure waiting room rules are followed.
- Providean inviting and comfortable environment in waiting areas.
- Upholdno soliciting and smoking rules for parking lot and entrance of clinic.
- Keep bothsite leadership & Client Safety Supervisor properly informed of any safetyand security issues (i.e., loitering, suspected or witnessed medicationdiversion or the trafficking of illicit substances).
- Managegeneral upkeep of waiting areas (e.g. making coffee, organizing waiting areas,updating client bulletin boards) in order to maintain a clean, orderlyenvironment.
- Patrolall areas directly outside of the building and parking lot with random checksthroughout the day and complete frequent rounds of the interior of the site.
- Preparationof incident reports and participation in incident investigations as necessary
- Leadand coordinate response teams during emergency situations according to policiesdeveloped for the use of panic buttons and associated paging codes.
- Keepsupervisor informed in a timely manner when emergency situations occur.
- Providecoverage to other sites as requested by supervisor.
- Completesall trainings required by the agency.
- Performsall other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- HighSchool Diploma or GED.
- SomePeer support experience preferred.
- Mustbe able to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Musthave excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Mustbe able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Musthave reliable transportation when occasional need to travel to other sitesoccurs.
