Contoural is seeking an exceptionally organized, hardworking, and detail-oriented Client Relationship Lead to support, retain, and expand relationships with and upsell into existing enterprise clients. This individual will work with more than 50 client accounts, identify possible new opportunities, maintain detailed agreement information, assemble and review complex proposals and client documents, coordinate client follow-up, and ensure that opportunities and commitments do not fall through the cracks. This position represents an unparalleled opportunity to learn and participate in strategic sales opportunities, engage and interact with clients’ senior leadership, and be part of a team that is on the cutting edge of legal, compliance, AI, and IT.
This role also has an important client-growth component. The Client Relationship Lead will learn Contoural’s services, participate in conversations with senior client stakeholders, listen for emerging needs, explain relevant services in clear and plainspoken language, and work with the delivery team and senior management to advance additional opportunities within existing accounts.
This is not a cold-calling or high-volume prospecting role. It is a hands‑on individual-contributor position centered on existing clients, disciplined follow-through, proposal and agreement quality, account coordination, and expansion of established client relationships. You will be working at the cutting edge of legal, compliance, AI, and technology with senior leaders at global corporations, small to medium enterprises, public sector organizations and nonprofits.
Here are some of the things you will work on
- Manage a portfolio of existing clients. Maintain visibility across more than 50 corporate, public sector and non-profit client accounts, including key contacts, current and past projects, agreements, renewal dates, open questions, commitments, opportunities, and next actions.
- Keep client relationships active. Organize regular client check-ins, coordinate participation by Contoural senior management and consultants, prepare agendas, document action items, and ensure that promised follow-up occurs.
- Identify additional client needs. Listen during client and delivery-team conversations for new challenges, upcoming initiatives, policy refreshes, project expansions, and other needs that Contoural may be able to address, bringing in senior Contoural members as needed.
- Connect client needs with Contoural services. Learn Contoural’s information governance, records management, privacy, and AI governance services and explain relevant offerings in clear, practical, plainspoken language. Prior information governance experience is not required.
- Develop opportunities within existing accounts. Turn identified client needs into defined opportunities, engage the appropriate internal experts, coordinate next steps, and maintain momentum from initial discussion through a clear decision.
- Drive opportunity follow-through. Track meetings, presentations, questions, proposals, decisions, and next actions. Proactively follow up with clients and internal team members so opportunities do not stall or disappear.
- Coordinate complex proposals. Assemble proposals using input from consultants and senior management, manage multiple contributors and versions, confirm that all requested elements are included, and ensure that proposals are completed on time.
- Review documents for accuracy and quality. Edit and proofread proposals, presentations, statements of work, change orders, pricing schedules, and other client materials for completeness, consistency, accuracy, clarity, formatting, and professional presentation.
- Manage agreements and renewals. Track MSAs, SOWs, change orders, amendments, signatures, expiration dates, renewal requirements, outstanding questions, and approval status. Ensure that agreement-related actions are completed before deadlines.
- Coordinate the proposal and agreement process. Manage the movement of documents among clients, consultants, senior management, finance, and other stakeholders. Maintain version control and ensure that everyone is working from the correct information.
- Maintain accurate HubSpot records. Keep client contacts, activities, agreements, opportunities, pipeline stages, projected timing, next actions, and supporting information current in HubSpot.
- Create visibility for management. Prepare regular reports on client activity, agreement status, renewals, open proposals, follow‑on opportunities, stalled items, upcoming deadlines, and actions requiring senior‑management involvement.
- Work closely with the delivery team. Meet with consultants to understand what clients are experiencing, identify potential follow‑on work, coordinate introductions, and bring the appropriate subject‑matter experts into client discussions.
- Keep clients informed and engaged. Share relevant Contoural white papers, webinars, service updates, and other useful content based on each client’s interests and needs. This supports the posting’s existing emphasis on keeping clients engaged with new content and follow‑on offerings.
- Support client presentations. Coordinate and help prepare presentations about new services and potential projects, schedule the appropriate participants, organize supporting materials, and track resulting questions and actions.
- Manage many simultaneous priorities. Balance routine account maintenance, urgent agreement questions, proposal deadlines, renewal dates, client requests, and developing opportunities without losing track of details.
- Improve account‑management processes. Help create and refine templates, checklists, dashboards, naming conventions, tracking practices, and other tools that make client, agreement, proposal, and opportunity management more reliable.
- Support selected marketing and event activities. Participate in several trade shows or company events each year, help staff the Contoural booth, capture prospect and client information, and ensure that post‑event follow‑up is completed.
