Job summary

Morgan Stanley Parametric is seeking an Operations Analyst to support the maintenance of client accounts and relationships within the firm. You will work with Operations Associates and Senior Operations Associates to respond to client requests and coordinate with internal teams.

Gain familiarity with internal systems, assist with portfolio analyses and account transitions, and help maintain accurate client information in a fast-paced environment, with long hours when needed.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in economics, finance, marketing, or hospitality.
• 0-2+ years proven experience in financial services.
• Introductory experience with RIAs, Family Office, UMAs, tax-efficient products, or indexes is a plus.
• Relationship-building skills and ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Strong interest in investment products and financial instruments.
• Excellent written/oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with MS Office and ability to learn internal software.
• Resourcefulness, problem solving, and organization.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and attention to detail.
• Flexible and able to work long hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance of existing client accounts.
• Assist with team projects and initiatives.
• Respond to client requests regarding asset values, status updates, tax efficiency, and account performance.
• Coordinate responses by liaising with internal teams and using internal resources.
• Assist with termination of client accounts as requested.
• Build relationships with Distribution and other internal teams for existing relationships.
• Develop relationships with external contacts for new accounts and activity.
• Learn channel guides and team policies to mitigate risk.
• Cross-train to ensure coverage when team members are out.
• Assist with provisioning/refreshing portfolio analyses for existing clients.
