Job summary

PNC is seeking a Client Onboarding Specialist in Phoenix, AZ for the Private Bank. You will partner with Advisors and Service Teams to onboard clients across Investment Management, IRA, and deposit accounts, ensuring compliant, smooth end-to-end experiences.

You will manage account openings, funding, and online setup, while maintaining AML/KYC compliance and strong client communication. A university degree is typical for this role.

Job Profile

As a Client Onboarding Specialist within PNC's Private Bank organization, you will be based in Phoenix, AZ. The Client Onboarding Associate (COA) is a trusted partner to the PNC Private Bank and Service teams. Together with Advisors, Service Partners, and other PNC Private Bank team members, the COA helps clients achieve and maintain financial success by originating and documenting Investment Management, IRA, Non‑Trust Accounts, and all deposit account types in accordance with governing instruments, state law, and PNC policies, procedures, and processes.

The COA provides end‑to‑end onboarding coverage, beginning with account opening, through account funding and other onboarding activities to ensure consistent execution and positive client experiences. This role reports directly to the Client Onboarding Manager.

  • Initiating, Tracking, and Validating Account Funding & Asset Transfer
  • Fully Onboarding Clients to PNC Private Bank including online setup (pnc.com and Portfolio view), client welcome engagement, service team introduction, etc.
  • Records Retention and Compliance
Job Description
  • Implement new products and services for clients. Review requirements and gather deliverables to complete client onboarding, account opening, and asset funding requirements.
  • Provide sales or consultative support to prospects or clients in select deals. Utilize data provided digitally by clients, from internal partners, and/or internal applications to establish or update client‑specific information for relevant products or services. Coordinate and produce relevant onboarding packages for validation and system processing.
  • Analyze, assess, and document adherence to established requirements, processes, and procedures throughout the end‑to‑end experience. Collect and check required AML/KYC client documentation for onboarding process and ongoing refresh. Communicate status updates in accordance with client and partner expectations throughout the onboarding process.
  • Advise clients or internal partners on additional information needs, required document clarifications, or other onboarding requirements. Help resolve challenges regarding onboarding issues raised by clients or internal partners and escalated as necessary to senior leadership.
  • Identify/develop necessary solutions. Ensure positive ongoing client experiences. Manage multiple onboarding requests simultaneously across many products or services; report progress relative to service level performance. Build relationships with key internal partners.
