Department overview

CSG (Client Services Group) is a dynamic division of Nomura Wholesale Operations that drives client success across the globe - providing client onboarding, KYC diligence, client outreach, entity data management and sales support. As part of our prestigious Global Markets Client On-boarding team, you will serve as a key ambassador for one of the world’s leading financial institutions while spearheading transformative client onboarding initiatives across the US market.

Responsibilities
  • Lead End-to-End Client Onboarding: Take ownership of the complete front-to-back on-boarding journey for new-to-bank clients, servicing as their primary advocate and guide through Nomura’s processes.
  • Drive Client Excellence: Communicate with and expertly direct clients through complex on-boarding requirements including Tax, KYC, AML, Regulatory, and Credit processes, positioning yourself as their trusted Nomura representative.
  • Champion Process Innovation: Proactively resolve on-boarding challenges by leveraging your network of business partners, coordinating strategic advice, and escalating appropriate through management while facilitating critical interactions.
  • Orchestrate Cross-Functional Success: Serve as a central process facilitator, seamlessly coordinating across internal stakeholders (i.e. Business, Operations, Credit, Legal, etc) to deliver streamlined efficient client experiences.
  • Foster Transparent Partnerships: Maintain continuous, strategic communication with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and sustained process momentum that reflects our commitment to excellence.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required
  • 3+ years onboarding experience, preferably dealing with financial institutional clients.
  • Proven track record of project leadership in dynamic, fast-paced environment where you thrive under pressure. Demonstration of outstanding project management skills with ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Natural talent for client‑focused service with excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels.
  • Team player with ability to build consensus.
  • Organized with high attention to detail and able to problem‑solve quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to manage high volume requests, while being flexible and dynamic in execution.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, SharePoint and PowerBI is a plus.
  • Understanding of US AML/KYC/Regulatory requirements (familiarity with EMEA regimes a plus).
  • Knowledge of products governed by ISDA/CDEA/MRA/MSFTA trading agreements.

*Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job‑related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign‑on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
