Job summary

NSI Insurance Group in Miami is seeking an experienced insurance professional to manage broker-client relationships, coordinate with carriers, and provide tailored risk-management solutions across Large Market Commercial Lines.

The role emphasizes strong communication, relationship-building, and a detail-oriented approach to renewals, quotes, and enrollment processes, with hybrid work and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Large Market Commercial Lines coverages.
  • Commercial Lines experience of at least 5 years.
  • In-depth knowledge of the insurance marketplace and carriers.
  • Ability to explain coverages clearly and advise clients confidently.
  • Experience building relationships with clients, carriers, and teams.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized with multi-account management.
  • Previous local agency or insurance experience is highly desirable.
  • License: Property & Casualty 220 preferred; Customer Representative 440 acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary contact between clients, producers, and carriers to provide service and advice.
  • Visit assigned clients to assess needs and present renewals and new options.
  • Prepare price quotes for new and existing clients.
  • Coordinate broker service presentations and meetings.
  • Prepare bid specs to carriers.
  • Compare bid results and recommend options.
  • Process new cases by gathering required documents.
  • Coordinate enrollment with clients or producers.
  • Quote, bind and underwrite renewal and new business accurately.
  • Issue endorsements for policy changes.
  • Answer client inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Document information in the computer system.
  • Prepare pre-renewal materials and present options.
  • Review renewal actions with carriers and draft proposals.
  • Schedule renewal meetings with clients.
  • Update principals on renewal results.
  • Attend seminars and share knowledge with staff.
  • Maintain client policy information in system.

Job description

Scope of Responsibilities

Responsible for acting as primary contact between clients and insurance carriers and retaining clients through good customer service.

Responsibilities

1. Act as primary contact between client and/or producers and insurance carriers, and apply knowledge of insurance policies and procedures to provide proper and effective service and responsible advice to all clients and/or producers.

2. Contact and visit assigned clients and/or producers within required time frames to evaluate client needs and make recommendations, present bid results, relate new product information and receive feedback on services.

3. Prepare and provide price quotes for all new and existing clients as needed.

4. Coordinate with the management regarding broker service presentations and fact finding meetings.

5. Prepare and submit bid specifications to be mailed to carriers.

6. Compare bid results as received and determine recommendations for clients.

7. Process new cases by requesting appropriate documentation from producers or clients as needed.

8. Coordinate enrollment process with producers or clients as needed.

9. Quote, bind and underwrite all renewal applications and new business in a timely and accurate manner.

10. Issue endorsements for all client policy changes.

11. Answer client inquires as needed.

12. Perform new case installation.

14. Prepare all pertinent information, required documentation and correspondence to set up permanent case files and update the computer system.

15. Prepare pre-renewal presentation materials and suggest or offer additional options or policies to clients and/or producers.

16. Review renewal actions and discuss with carriers, negotiate changes, draft renewal proposals and submit.

17. Schedule and hold renewal meetings with clients and/or producers.

18. Update principals on renewal results within required time frames.

19. Attend seminars or training programs or other applicable seminars and inform staff of knowledge gained.

20. Document all telephone inquiries and pertinent policy information on computer system.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Insurance Expertise – Strong understanding of Large Market Commercial Lines coverages.Commercial Lines minimum 5 years experience.

Market and Industry Knowledge – In-depth knowledge of the insurance marketplace, including carriers and coverage options.

Client-Centric Mindset – Ability to clearly explain coverages to clients and provide tailored risk management solutions.

Strong Communicator – Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to educate and advise clients confidently.

Relationship Builder – Skilled at fostering and maintaining strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams.

Detail-Oriented & Organized – Capable of managing multiple accounts while ensuring accuracy in policies and proposals.

Relevant Work Experience – Previous experience at a local agency or insurance is highly desirable.

License– Property & Casualty 220 License preferred;Customer Representative 440 minimum allowed
