Job summary

Haymond Law Firm in Hartford, CT is seeking a Client Intake Specialist to be the first point of contact for prospective clients seeking injury representation. This full-time, in-person role requires empathetic communication, detailed information gathering, and effective routing of qualified leads to attorneys.

You will screen potential cases, enter data into CRM, schedule consultations, and maintain thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior experience in legal intake, customer service, sales, call center operations, or a law firm environment preferred.
• Personal injury experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Strong listening, interviewing, and rapport-building abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software.
• Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of inquiries.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, emails, text messages, and website inquiries from prospective clients.
• Conduct initial client interviews and gather relevant facts regarding accidents, injuries, insurance coverage, and damages.
• Evaluate potential cases against intake criteria and identify viable personal injury matters.
• Accurately enter and maintain client information in the firm's case management and CRM systems.
• Schedule consultations with attorneys and legal staff.
• Obtain and review supporting documentation.
• Follow up with prospective clients to collect missing information.
• Provide compassionate and professional customer service.
• Maintain detailed notes and documentation of communications.
• Assist with conflict checks and new client onboarding procedures.
• Obtain signed retainer agreements and other required intake documents.

The Client Intake Specialist is often the first point of contact for prospective clients seeking legal representation. This position is responsible for handling incoming calls, screening potential cases, gathering accurate information, providing an exceptional client experience, and ensuring qualified leads are promptly routed for attorney review. Compensation

Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
