Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Cartography, GIS or closely related field.
3+ years of general GIS experience.
Experience in GIS with ESRI or open source GIS software.
Understanding and knowledge in geography and GIS principles.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a diverse group of people.

Responsibilities

Conduct intermediate-level analysis of GIS source data; input data into various GIS databases.
Performs quality-control checks of own work and others to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Work directly with clients /implementation consultants/project managers when appropriate.
Track time for billable work to be entered into various time management databases.
Must also be able to perform their duties with an appropriate level of supervision.
Encouraged to ask clarifying questions and seek help.
Deliver projects in a timely manner to meet client expectations.
Ensure that data is error-free while also meeting client deadlines.
Must be able to communicate effectively with the rest of the GIS team as well as with management.
Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
