Responsibilities

• Follow up with insurance payers to secure timely resolution of unpaid, underpaid, or denied claims.
• Investigate account issues using payer portals, secure messaging, calls, and insurance correspondence.
• Resolve billing and reimbursement issues by correcting, resubmitting, or appealing claims when appropriate.
• Review and respond to insurance inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.
• Run and analyze accounts receivable reports to identify aging trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure claims comply with billing and coding guidelines, payer requirements, and contract terms.
• Document procedures and communicate recurring issues to streamline processes.
• Collaborate with team members while independently organizing and prioritizing assigned accounts.
