Job summary

GDH Consulting is seeking a System Test Engineer to test end-to-end solutions for a Fortune 500 customer in Raleigh, NC. You will use Spirent and Ixia, with VMware Hypervisor knowledge, and CCNA-level networking understanding to design and execute tests.

You will author test plans, setup customer-specific tests, interpret results, analyze network designs, and build virtual networks to resolve complex problems in lab environments. Strong client-facing communication is required.

Qualifications

• Testing background with hands-on test execution experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and issue isolation ability.
• General route/switch knowledge, preferably data center oriented.
• Experience or familiarity with IXIA and Spirent test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers to author and revise test plans based on risk assessments.
• Perform setup and execution of customer-specific tests.
• Consult with customers regarding the application and interpretation of test results.
• Perform analysis of network design.
• Build virtual networks in test labs to resolve complex problems.
