Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage engineering teams on complex industrial projects across the United States, including design, construction, and environmental work. This role involves early concept development through detailed design and construction support for a variety of industrial clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 10 years of related experience.
• PMP/CCM/DBIA certification required within 12 months.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel frequency contingent on duties and project demands.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple engineering projects within the Industrial Market from early concept development through detailed design and construction support.
• Lead and manage a team to develop scope, schedule, and budget for proposal development as part of a larger team led by the Sales Leader and supported by the marketing team.
• Lead and manage a multi-discipline engineering and compliance team to deliver required compliance and engineering deliverables to meet project deadlines and budgets.
• Manage quality, risk, schedule, and change management.
• Serve as a mentor and leader of multi-discipline project teams.
• Perform and lead technical problem solving with a team of multi-discipline engineers.
• Provide guidance and review at the project level while ensuring discipline and quality standards are adhered to.
• Serve as the main client contact and liaison during project execution to deliver an excellent client experience and grow the account.
• Identify opportunities with existing clients, particularly by expanding service offerings.
• Apply experience and innovation to solve problems of high complexity in the area of expertise with support from the engineering team.
• Effectively work with lead practitioners, quality managers, and key technical specialists.
