This role combines strategic planning with hands-on coaching, supporting everything from daily clienteling activity to longer-term plans for client progression, event participation, high-value sales, and category growth. While the position has no direct reports, previous people management experience and the ability to influence and develop others are essential.
Key Responsibilities

- Identify opportunities to acquire high-potential clients, grow the VIC community, and strengthen client retention.
- Use client segmentation and purchasing insights to create targeted action plans that support progression across client tiers.
- Partner with store leadership to translate client development priorities into clear team actions and commercial objectives.
Team Coaching and Leadership
- Coach the store team on luxury clienteling, relationship building, personalized outreach, and follow-up.
- Embed effective clienteling habits into daily store activity, connecting immediate opportunities with longer-term relationship development.
- Support teams in building individual client portfolios and tailored client development plans.
- Contribute to the store management team, driving performance through clear direction, coaching, and accountability.
Performance Tracking
- Monitor client development performance, including retention, reactivation, acquisition, client tier progression, event conversion, and sales contribution.
- Analyze CRM data and purchasing behavior to identify opportunities and refine action plans.
- Share performance insights and recommendations with store leadership and relevant regional and headquarters partners.
- Assess the effectiveness of clienteling initiatives and coach teams to improve results.
Client Nurturing and Event Coordination
- Partner with store teams to create personalized engagement plans for VICs and high-potential clients.
- Coordinate targeted outreach and appointments around product launches, events, and key commercial moments.
- Support client selection, invitation strategies, attendance, and follow-up to maximize the relationship and commercial impact of events.
- Identify opportunities to deepen client engagement across categories while delivering a consistently elevated experience.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work closely with store leadership, regional stakeholders, and headquarters partners to align client development activity with wider business objectives.
- Share client insights, local market opportunities, and feedback to inform future initiatives.
About You
- Experience in luxury retail with a strong focus on strategic client development and relationship-led sales.
- Previous people management experience, with a demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and improve team performance.
- A measurable track record of driving client acquisition, retention, VIC growth, portfolio development, or client-led revenue.
- Strong understanding of luxury consumer behavior, client segmentation, and personalized engagement.
- Confidence using CRM tools and performance data to develop actionable commercial plans.
- Experience connecting client events and engagement initiatives to long-term relationship growth and sales results.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence colleagues without direct reporting authority.
- A hands-on, commercially focused approach and the confidence to lead client development initiatives within a high-profile boutique.
Candidates should demonstrate clear, quantified achievements in consumer-facing luxury client development, alongside previous responsibility for managing people.
