Mercer Advisors is seeking a Client Development Associate to guide new clients from onboarding to official status, coordinating with the Regional Vice President and Wealth Management Team to ensure a seamless experience.

The CDA will manage account setups, paperwork, introductions, onboarding checklists, and tracking of initial assets. This role emphasizes detail, accuracy, and delivering an outstanding client experience during this pivotal stage.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding new clients to Mercer Advisors efficiently and professionally to ensure better client retention.
  • Partner with the Regional Vice President to manage new client onboarding from initial agreement to becoming an official client.
  • Execute the Three-Part New Client Onboarding Process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare, send, and process all required client paperwork and documentation.
  • Set up new clients across all Mercer systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Create and manage onboarding checklists to track progress and ensure completion of all steps.
  • Monitor custodian platforms to confirm account linking, funding, and transfers are completed promptly.
  • Proactively follow up with custodians to resolve issues and prevent delays in the onboarding process.
  • Facilitate smooth hand-off to the Wealth Management Team by introducing the client and providing a completed onboarding checklist.
  • Drive Price Modification Request process and ensure compliance documentation is delivered to clients.
  • Track and secure additional assets and opportunities during the first year of the client relationship, including running Fi360 attestations for new retirement assets.
  • Ensuring adherence to company standards
  • Other duties as needed

  • Ability to occasionally travel (to both channel partner offices and prospects')
Work Schedule

This professional role requires availability during standard business hours of Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM. At times, the role may have early or late hours to meet business tasks and deadlines for external and internal client needs. All roles classified as a non-exempt are required to record working time into the timekeeping system daily at the start and end of each workday plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch period.

Working Conditions

This position may be in a professional office environment or a dedicated home office workspace which is free of interruptions. Whether position is in a dedicated office space or home office workspace, basic technology needs will be provided to satisfy position requirements. Routinely sitting and standing for periods of time. No heavy lifting over 10 lbs.

Total expected cash compensation range

$80,000 - $100,000 USD
