Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte LLP, a leading global law firm with 1,700+ lawyers, seeks a Client Arrangements Specialist to support the Client Arrangements department in implementing client fee arrangements and related requirements.

You will collaborate with Accounting, Legal Assistants, and Analysts to interpret and improve the client arrangements cycle, performing data entry, managing change requests, and upholding confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with client billing or fee arrangements is a plus.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide data entry support for rate setup changes as approved by leadership.
• Coordinate assignment of change requests to analysts by Practice Group.
• Enter data for new and updated Non-Standard Arrangements in the repository.
• Monitor the Client Arrangements Inbox and flag urgent inquiries.
• Assist in responding to inquiries on client arrangement terms.
• Support time, billing, and disbursement rules setup requests.

Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Client Arrangements Specialist supports the Client Arrangements department through data entry in the implementation of client fee arrangements and requirements as requested by Client Accounting, Legal Assistants and Client Arrangements Analysts. This position partners closely with the Client Arrangements Supervisor and Analyst to interpret and improve the client arrangements cycle. The Client Arrangements Specialist works under direct supervision and relies on instructions and guidelines to perform the essential functions of the job.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provide data entry support in actioning of rate setup change requests as approved by team leadership
• Oversee the assignment of Change Requests to responsible Analysts based on Practice Group assignment
• Provide data entry support for new and to be updated Non‑Standard Arrangements in the Client Arrangements Non‑Standard Arrangements Repository
• Oversee the Client Arrangements Group Inbox and alert team to time sensitive/urgent inquiries
• Assist in providing timely response to inquiries on client arrangement terms
• Provide support in requests for time, billing, and disbursement rules setup

Job Specifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Prior experience with electronic billing systems, Aderant Expert and Rate Hierarchy a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong client service, analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
• Ability to work in a team environment and share knowledge

Compensation and Benefits:

Target Hiring Range $59,000 - $90,000

Please note that quoted salary ranges are not guarantees of what final salary offers may be. Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that MWS provides to compensate and recognise our staff professionals for their work.

Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
