Manta Search is seeking a CAS Accountant to provide outsourced accounting support across a portfolio of clients. The role blends bookkeeping, financial reporting, and advisory work to help clients understand their numbers and drive better business decisions.

The position involves working with QuickBooks Online or Xero, managing multiple clients, and delivering accurate statements while staying current on GAAP and cloud accounting practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field required.
• 2–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; public or outsourced accounting a plus.
• Proficiency with cloud accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online, Xero).
• Strong attention to detail and GAAP understanding.
• Excellent communication with clients and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and general ledger for a portfolio of clients.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
• Perform account reconciliations including bank and balance sheet accounts.
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll for clients as needed.
• Maintain and troubleshoot cloud accounting systems (QuickBooks Online, Xero).
• Assist with cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and basic financial analysis.
• Identify trends or issues and communicate them to clients.
• Support onboarding of new clients onto the firm's systems.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure a consistent client experience.
• Stay current on accounting standards and best practices.

The CAS Accountant provides outsourced accounting support to a portfolio of clients, acting as an extension of their internal accounting function. This role blends day to day bookkeeping and financial reporting with a growing advisory component, helping clients understand their numbers and make better business decisions. What You'll Do

• Manage day to day bookkeeping and general ledger accounting for a portfolio of clients.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year end financial statements.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll for clients as needed.
• Maintain and troubleshoot cloud accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online or Xero, along with connected apps.
• Assist clients with cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and basic financial analysis.
• Identify trends or issues in client financials and communicate them proactively.
• Support the transition of new clients onto the firm's accounting systems and processes.
• Collaborate with CAS leadership and other departments to ensure a consistent client experience.
• Stay current on accounting standards, software updates, and best practices in cloud accounting.
• Build strong, trust based relationships with client contacts.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2 to 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, public accounting or outsourced accounting experience a plus.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar cloud accounting platforms.
• Comfortable managing multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and solid understanding of GAAP fundamentals.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work directly with clients.
• Tech savvy and eager to learn new tools and integrations.
• CPA or progress toward CPA a plus, but not required.
