Job summary

Johanson & Yau, a Campbell, CA-based full-service public accounting firm, seeks a Client Accounting Services Senior Associate to deliver full-cycle accounting for small businesses and family offices. You will own engagements, prepare financial statements, and support tax compliance while partnering with clients, partners, and internal teams.

This hybrid role requires up to four days in the office and occasional overtime during busy seasons, offering growth toward management within the CAS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–6+ years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) and QuickBooks Desktop/Online; QB ProAdvisor a plus.
• Experience managing multiple client relationships and deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication with a client-service mindset.
• Hybrid, full-time exempt role with two days per week in the office; occasional extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits, pay bills, reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
• Maintain general ledger activity in QuickBooks.
• Prepare payroll and related tax returns.
• Close month-end / year-end books and produce financial statements.
• Engage with clients, analyze variances, and provide value-add insights beyond compliance.
• Coach CAS Associates and collaborate with tax staff and partners.
