Job summary

District Partners is seeking a Manager for its Client Accounting Services (CAS) practice in the Greater Philadelphia area. You will own a portfolio of 8–12 clients, reviewing work from staff and client bookkeepers and guiding month-end close and technical accounting.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, mentoring junior staff, building client relationships, and collaborating with leadership to grow the practice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years accounting experience; Manager or strong Supervisor ready to step into Manager role.
• CPA preferred but not required; demonstrated technical proficiency matters.
• Comfortable owning full scope of small-business client work; not a siloed role.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop & Online; familiarity with NetSuite/Xero is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide controller-level oversight for a portfolio of approximately 8–12 clients across nonprofits, healthcare, hospitality and professional services.
• Review work prepared by staff accountants and client-side bookkeepers, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee month-end close deliverables and technical accounting areas like prepaid schedules and deferred revenue.
• Mentor and develop junior staff; serve as trusted advisor and primary contact for clients, supporting business development.
