Job Description Summary: The Clerkship Coordinator is responsible for overall coordination and support for the administrative aspects of the neurology student program for MS3, MS4 and visiting students. The Clerkship Coordinator provides coordination and administrative support to the Clerkship Director, Associate Director, full-time, part-time and volunteer faculty for all related activities in the process of providing medical education. The Clerkship Coordinator maintains curriculum standards in quality and methods of instruction, maintains academic and grading standards, and manages other aspects of the teaching program as needed.

Work Experience: Four (4) years of relevant experience. Relevant education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis. Experience working as a liaison between two (2) or more departments in an organization or between two (2) or more organizations.
Work Experience: Experience with medical education programs and related accrediting agency, Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). Experience with the design and administration of an evaluation process to provide feedback on teaching objectives and methods. Experience in a leadership role in a health care or university setting. Experience with the state of Kansas PeopleSoft accounting processes.

Hourly Compensation Statement: The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
