Job summary

PLZ Corp in Indianapolis is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to manage inventory and quality control for incoming and outgoing finished products. The role includes loading/unloading deliveries, verifying invoices, and maintaining an organized warehouse across PLZ's three facilities in the area.

Responsibilities include inspecting trailers, reporting discrepancies, following SOPs, and ensuring safety. SAP/WMS/TMS proficiency and strong English communication are required for this on-site

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Must communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with SAP, WMS and TMS is required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

• Verify BOL against unloading quantities.
• Document any damaged goods and report to management.
• Double-check quantity and sign off with QA.

Job description

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for maintaining inventory counts and quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing finished products. Their duties include loading and unloading delivery trucks, checking incoming shipments against invoices, organizing and storing shipments. As well as ensuring the warehouse stays clean and organized. This position will/may work from the three (3) facilities occupied by PLZ within the Indianapolis area.

Key Responsibility:

• Load and unload incoming trailers
• Visually inspect all trailers prior to loading
• Ensure all trailers wheels are chocked prior to loading
• Compare BOL vs what is being unloaded; notify management of any discrepancies
• Double check incoming quantity and correct BOL if needed
• Document/report any damaged goods to management
• Order picking is to be double checked and signed off by QA prior to shipment
• Follow all SOP’s and Work Instructions
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Have forklift experience—sit-down & stand-up
• Follow established safety rules and regulations
• Receive and Ship Finished Goods
• Follow all SOP’s and Work Instructions
• Knowledge of SAP
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance and warehouse best practices
• Skills in inventory control
• SAP, WMS, TMS experience required
• Ability to follow and adhere to warehouse processes and procedures
• HS Diploma or GED required
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English; verbal and written form
• Must possess organizational and leadership skills
• Must be team oriented and self-directed

• Must be familiar with warehouse in a manufacturing setting
• Must be able to lift a maximum of up to 50 lbs
