Job summary

GXO is seeking a Clerk II in California to help keep operations running smoothly and support our lean warehousing initiatives on the floor. You’ll troubleshoot robotics, load and unload material, and ensure packaging, routing and systems work are completed quickly and accurately.

Qualifications

• Experience with computer or robotics troubleshooting.
• Comfort using a computer to assess technical issues.
• 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience operating material handling equipment and using a handheld scanner.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot robotics equipment using computer commands.
• Load and unload materials with hand trucks, hoists, and conveyors.
• Ensure packaging, routing and systems work are completed quickly and accurately.
• Participate in Lean warehousing practices on the floor.
• Follow established procedures to complete tasks.
• Work safely at all times.
• Participate in stand-up meetings with cross-functional teams.

Pay, Benefits And More.

The hourly pay rate for this is $23.25. GXO, in good faith, believes this is the pay rate for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted rate and this rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. This rate may be modified in the future. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and other benefits to eligible employees.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Help troubleshoot issues with robotics equipment through the use of computer commands
• Load and unload material using hand trucks, hoists, conveyors, etc.
• Ensure packaging, routing and systems work is completed quickly and accurately
• Participate in and guide team in the Lean warehousing system on the floor
• Complete tasks by following established procedures
• Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner
• Participate in stand-up activities with cross-functional teams

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Experience with computer or robotics troubleshooting
• Must feel comfortable using a computer to asses technical issues
• 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment
• Experience operating material handling equipment and using a handheld scanner

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical training in computer programming, software, troubleshooting, or maintenance
• Availability to work a flexible schedule with possible overtime when needed

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally
• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
• Stand, sit or walk for long periods of time
• Handle or manage tools or equipment
• Adjust focus and demonstrate close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
