Job summary

Compass Connections in Texas is hiring compassionate staff to support emergency shelter and group home services. You will help manage records, process purchasing, and assist with program administration to serve children and families.

Requirements include a high school diploma, fluency in English and Spanish, CPR/First Aid certifications, and 1 year of related experience. Pre-employment checks and flexible hours are part of the role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred 2-year associate degree or two years of college coursework.
  • First Aid, CPR, Emergency Behavior Intervention certifications preferred.
  • 1 year of related experience required; 2+ preferred.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background checks required.

Responsibilities

  • Generate weekly work order reports (completed/progress/overdue).
  • Maintain filing and tracking systems for inspections.
  • Create and submit purchase requisitions, receipts, and invoices on time.
  • Maintain purchase order logs and travel/expense reports.
  • Attend meetings and collaborate with team and partners.
  • Follow safety protocols and evacuations with staff and children when needed.
  • Work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional conduct.

Our organization offers emergency shelter and group home placement for children while we work to reunite them with family.We know the sooner family reunification is accomplished, the sooner children can safely integrate into the community and thrive.We are now hiring compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team at our (facility) in (city, state).ALL Benefits available on the first day of employment.100% employer-paid medical, dental, vision insuranceRetirement plan optionsAdditional employer sponsored benefits availableAsk your recruiter for a complete overview of the benefits available to you.Hourly Rate: $21.40 an hour.Language Requirement: Fluency in English and Spanish is required.Academic Req:Required – High school diploma, or equivalentPreferred – 2-year Associate degree from an accredited program/institution, or two or more years of college-level coursework.Certifications:First AidCPREmergency Behavior InterventionWork Experience:Required – One (1) year of related experience and/or trainingPreferred – Two (2) plus years of related experience and/or trainingCritical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that apply to this position.Maintain all contractor records and bookkeeping data efficiently and appropriately.Generate weekly work order reports, including completed, in progress, and overdue assignments.Maintain a filing and tracking system for building inspection records.Create and submit purchase requisitions, receipts, and invoices in accordance with Compass Connections' timeline requirements.Maintain purchase order logs.Create and submit travel and expense reports in accordance with Compass Connections' timeline requirements.Participate in scheduled meetings, team decisions, and operations.Implement Compass Connections safety protocol, including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency.Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed and as requested by the supervisor.Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the child and program operations.Maintain Compass Connections' professional and ethical standards of conduct, as outlined in the Compass Connections employee handbook, including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members, and complying with the required dress code at all times.Other Responsibilities:Maintain a comprehensive filing system and be able to locate and retrieve information from files as directed.Manage program administration using the Compass Connections requisition system, including tracking of receipts and invoices; vendor contact information, and contractor and supplier files.Generate general correspondence, memorandums, and department records.Record and maintain departmental and facility reports for the Regional Logistics Director as requested.Maintain a comprehensive inventory control system in support of Logistics, Food Services/National School Lunch Program, and Maintenance Departments.Meet all pre-determined deadlines required by the program and federal partners.Foster Care Programs - Support, encourage, and recruit foster parents.Requirements:Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.Demonstrate the ability to:a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics.b. Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers, and professionals.c. Read, analyze, and interpret policy manuals and documents.d. Provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed to maintain a safe environment.e. Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.f. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.g.
