Job summary

Sunfire Solutions in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Cleared UI/UX Software Engineer (15+ yrs) to design and implement web-based solutions for government and commercial clients. You will collaborate with stakeholders, lead UI/UX challenges, and mentor junior engineers.

You will work with JS/TS frameworks, HTML/CSS, REST APIs, and modern front-end tools. A TS/SCI clearance with poly is required; strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience in frontend or full-stack roles.
• Extensive knowledge of JS/TypeScript, HTML, CSS (Less/Sass), and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience designing high-fidelity wireframes, mockups and UI prototypes.
• Extensive knowledge of REST APIs, JSON processing and tokens (JWT).
• Experience with NPM, Node.js and Linux environments.
• Leadership experience mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of web-based UI/UX solutions for government and commercial clients.
• Develop new features or modernize existing applications.
• Create quick UI prototypes to showcase next-gen features.
• Write clean, professional code and promote best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers on system architecture and UI/UX concerns.
• Produce low/high fidelity mockups and wireframes illustrating interactions.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues; share knowledge with the team.
