Job summary

Colossal Contracting, LLC is seeking an IT Administrator to support Windows Server environments onsite in Goose Creek, SC. The role requires 1+ year experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization.

You will install and configure server operating systems, apply security patches, and implement lifecycle upgrades. Strong written and verbal communication is essential for SOPs and incident resolution.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in supporting Microsoft Windows server computing environment, specifically Active Directory and Group Policy Object management.
• Knowledge and working experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and future versions.
• 1+ years of experience with server/desktop virtualization (VMware vSphere/ESXi).
• Experience with cyber security hardening principles, policies, and requirements.
• Experience with scripting technologies such as VB Script or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Understand Windows Server environments and provide back-end user support for related problems.
• Perform Windows system administration tasks and install/configure server operating systems.

• Hardening of systems using cyber security principles and policies.

Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Must have an understanding of Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Active Directory, and Group Policy Object Management.
• Provide back-end user support for various Information Technology related problems, including problems associated with Windows servers.
• Perform Windows system administration tasks.
• Install and configure server operating systems.
• Ability and experience in applying and maintaining patch levels and security configurations as well as providing life cycle system upgrades.
• Experience in hardening of systems through implementation of Cyber Security principles, policies and requirements.
• Experience is preferred with the administration, implementation and maintenance of Virtualization technologies.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with experience in writing standard operating procedures.
• Resolve escalated Help Desk issues.

Requirements

Experience level must meet or exceed the following:

• At least 1 year of experience in supporting Microsoft Windows server computing environment, specifically Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Object management
• Knowledge and working experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and future versions of the Windows Server Operating System.
• 1 or more years of experience with server and desktop virtualization including VMWare (such as vSphere and ESXi 6.7)product lines.
• Experience in hardening of systems through implementation of Cyber Security principles, policies, and requirements.
• Experience with scripting technologies such as VB Script or PowerShell.

Travel would not be required for this opportunity.
