As an essential member of the Navy Systems Tech Basis team in Building 809, you will contribute to design, development, and qualification activities that support the reliability and safety of the nation’s nuclear deterrent. Your day-to-day work will include:

The Department 2216‑1 Building 809 Operations and Navy Tech Basis Team is part of the New Mexico Stockpile Systems Engineering group that delivers agile solutions to the nuclear deterrent, managing full‑lifecycle support for hardware needs from provisioning to final disposition.
Demonstrate the physical fitness to lift, carry, push, and pull as required.
The position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) L security clearance to start, or an equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency such as the Department of Defense.
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED) and are employed by Sandia National Laboratories, you may need to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs. Additional steps may be required for on‑site interviews.
