Job summary

Vantor is seeking a cleared geospatial technologist to bridge two mission offices—data curation/portal visualization and data processing with Tableau. You’ll use Python to process large geospatial datasets, curate authoritative data, maintain ArcGIS Portal content, and build dashboards and visual analytics for mission users.

The ideal candidate blends geospatial programming, data stewardship, and visualization development, with the ability to work independently across offices and explain

Qualifications

• This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, CS, Data Science, Eng, or related field.
• 12+ years of geospatial tech, software development, data engineering, or related experience.
• Strong Python experience for geospatial processing and automation.
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal and publishing hosted layers, maps, and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Support two mission areas: geospatial data curation/visualization and data processing/Tableau reporting.
• Develop Python scripts to automate geospatial data workflows and data publication.
• Publish and maintain ArcGIS Portal content including hosted layers and dashboards.
• Build Tableau dashboards and analytic visualizations for mission stakeholders.
• Ensure data quality, discoverability, and metadata practices across datasets.
• Collaborate across offices and communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Create documentation, data dictionaries, and SOPs to enable repeatable workflows.
