Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Data Science professional to identify opportunities, requirements, and risks and deliver analytical solutions for government clients. You will wrangle data with SQL, Python, Power BI, and Tableau, build dashboards, and automate analytical processes. On-site in DC with hybrid/remote options as needed.

The role emphasizes communicating technical results to leadership and non-technical stakeholders while collaborating with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience in data analytics/BI.
• Experience querying and wrangling data with SQL.
• Experience building dashboards with Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to work on client site in Washington DC, 5 days/week, with on-site/ hybrid/ remote as needed.

What You Will Do

Employ strong technical skills and a business mindset to swiftly identify opportunities, requirements, and risk and generate analytical solutions for clients’ mission needs. Utilize tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau to wrangle, analyze, and visualize data and automate analytical and business processes and analytical solutions. Utilize Power Automate to automate analytical and business processes. Work independently or in small teams to develop solutions and drive initiatives forward. Communicate effectively to convey technical information to technical clients and appropriately present technical solutions to non-technical audiences, including leadership.

What You Will Need

An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance. Bachelor’s degree TWO (2) or more years of relevant professional experience in data analytics and business intelligence (BI). Experience in querying and wrangling data using SQL. Experience in connecting to data sources and building dashboards using Power BI or Tableau. Ability to work on client site in Washington D.C. 5 days per week and support future projects that are on‑site or hybrid in the DC metro area or remote as needed.

What Would Be Nice to Have

Master’s degree in a relevant technical field. THREE (3) years of relevant professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence (BI), data science, and automation. Proficiency in connecting to data sources and building dashboards using Power BI. Ability to learn how to automate data analytics and other business processes using Power Apps / Power Automate. Ability to understand client mission, business processes, and data nuances and adapt solutions accordingly. Ability to identify and define appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) for business needs. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and present technical solutions, insights, and results to technical and non‑technical audiences, including leadership. Ability to think strategically and drive innovation. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in teams. Proficiency in automating data analytics and other business processes using Power Apps / Power Automate. Proficiency in querying and connecting data sources and wrangling and analyzing data using Python. Experience using Databricks. Experience performing analytics in a cloud environment, such as Azure or AWS. Experience supporting Department of State or other Federal Government organizations.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00.

Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
