Job summary

VSO Inc. is seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Migration Engineer to migrate complex workloads into highly secure environments.

You will plan and execute migrations, align configurations, and develop repeatable deployment and rollback procedures in collaboration with platform and security teams. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of AWS migration or infrastructure experience, and can design safe cutover strategies for restricted environments while working effectively in highly controlled

Virtual Service Operations (VSO) is seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Migration Engineer to join a highly skilled team delivering advanced cloud engineering capabilities for a mission-critical, security-sensitive initiative. Move complex cloud workloads into some of the most demanding operating environments. You will make migrations safer and more repeatable through thoughtful architecture, disciplined testing, and carefully engineered cutovers. You will work with experienced technical partners in a collaborative environment where careful engineering and measurable results matter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute migrations between AWS environments with different security and connectivity constraints.
• Align development, testing, and production configurations.
• Develop repeatable deployment, artifact handling, cutover, and rollback procedures.
• Validate migrated workloads and coordinate controlled changes with platform and security teams

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of AWS cloud migration or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS migrations and repeatable deployment practices.
• Ability to design safe cutover and rollback approaches for restricted environments.
• Hands-on AWS cloud experience and ability to work effectively in highly controlled environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience across AWS commercial, GovCloud, or other restricted partitions.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and blue/green migrations.
• Relevant AWS professional or specialty certifications; Security+ or CISSP where applicable.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance; must be eligible for applicable SCI read-on/indoctrination and additional program-specific access approvals.
• Must reside within commuting distance of one of the following 4 approved secure work locations: Herndon, VA; Washington, DC; Seattle, WA; or Denver, CO.
• Regular on-site work in an approved secure facility and occasional work at authorized customer facilities may be required. This is not a remote position.
• Full-time position, on-site
