What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process new referrals by verifying patient eligibility and coordinating benefits
- Document patient insurance coverage, including medications and related services
- Calculate estimated patient financial responsibility based on benefit verification
- Initiate and secure prior authorization and medical review requests
- Communicate with patients and referral sources regarding the status of referrals and coverage updates
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in home infusion specialty pharmacy
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines
- Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity expectations
- Basic skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, with knowledge of HIPAA regulations
