The Cleaning Specialists are responsible for sustaining a sterile environment in all areas of the hospital. Cleans and sanitizes horizontal and vertical surfaces as directed. Performs all duties in a manner consistent with the mission and values of MVMC.

Extensive standing and walking with occasional reaching stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull at least 45 pounds frequently. Must be able to stand and walk for periods of up to 6 hours frequently.
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequently during a six-hour shift. Very good close vision and the ability to identify and distinguish color. Some risk of radiation exposure. Some risk of electrical shock. Work is in a clean hospital environment. The noise level is quiet to moderate.
Supervision Exercised: This position does not supervise other staff.
