Job summary

Voda Cleaning & Restoration is seeking a Cleaning & Restoration Technician to support residential and commercial cleaning and restoration projects. The role focuses on delivering quality carpet and floor cleaning, water damage restoration, and mold remediation as outlined in the job responsibilities.

The technician will document work, liaise with customers, and maintain equipment and vehicles. Opportunities to advance and obtain certifications are available as experience grows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or GED) required.
• Adequate math skills; apply techniques to determine equipment type and units.
• Basic computer skills (email, daily activity recording).
• 1 year floor cleaning experience preferred and/or some specialty cleaning (e.g. stripping & waxing, tile & grout, upholstery).
• IICRC certifications preferred (CCT etc.).

Responsibilities

• Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services offered by the company.
• Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.

Cleaning & Restoration Technician Qualifications and Experience

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units..
• Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to record daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (i.e. Stripping & Waxing Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, etc.)
• Highly Desired Certificates from Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
• Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)* preferred, but not required
• Opportunities to advance into:
• Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
• Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
• Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD)

Cleaning & Restoration Technician Job Summary

Assist in gaining and retaining customers by fulfilling the company’s obligations through the timely and effective delivery of residential and commercial cleaning and restoration services.

Cleaning & Restoration Technician Responsibilities

• Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services the company offers (Opportunities exist to earn Mold Mitigation; Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications and experience quickly). (Note: Compensation levels will reflect the experience level of the technician. Hourly rate increases as experience and certifications are gained in water mitigation, mold, trauma scene, and asbestos certifications are added. Commissions are possible on top of hourly rate)
• Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effective with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
