Job summary

Meijer in Ohio is hiring entry-level team members to support store operations with a focus on customer service and efficiency. As a cart attendant you will help keep aisles clear and assist customers while performing basic store tasks.

You will gain hands-on exposure to a variety of retail duties, from cart handling to cleanliness and safety procedures, while working in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts to the store.
• Coordinate and collect the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment to clear snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Assist at service desk, entrances, lanes and parking areas.
• Collaborate with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
• Other duties as assigned.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
