Job summary

Voda Cleaning & Restoration is seeking a Cleaning and Restoration Technician to support on-site carpet and floor cleaning, water and mold restoration, and related services. The role focuses on delivering high-quality results for homes and businesses, with opportunities to advance into WRT, AMRT, ASD, MRS, and FSRT tracks.

The technician will retain customers by timely and effective service delivery, and will document all work while maintaining equipment and vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Mathematical skills to determine equipment type and quantity.
• Basic computer, email, and mobile device usage for reporting daily activity.
• 1 year cleaning experience preferred or related specialty cleaning.
• IICRC certificates such as Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpet and floor cleaning and restoration services; opportunities to gain Mold Mitigation, Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications; commissions possible with experience and certifications.
• Complete cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
• Complete the technician’s daily log and Work Orders.
• Maintain tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles and inventory.
• Willing to learn the latest equipment and technology in the industry.
• Be accountable for maintaining company standards.

Cleaning and Restoration Technician Qualifications and Experience

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
• Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (i.e. Stripping & Waxing Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, etc.)
• Highly Desired Certificates from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
  • Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)* preferred but not required
• Opportunities to advance into:
  • Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
  • Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
  • Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD)
  • Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS)
  • Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT)

Cleaning and Restoration Technician Responsibilities

• Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services the company offers (Opportunities exist to earn Mold Mitigation; Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications and experience quickly).
  (Note: Compensation levels will reflect the experience level of the technician. Hourly rate increases as experience and certifications are gained in water mitigation, mold, trauma scene, and asbestos certifications are added. Commissions are possible on top of hourly rate)
• Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
• Complete the technician’s daily log.
• Complete Work Orders.
• Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of related supplies.
• Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry.
• Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards.
