Job summary

Voda Cleaning & Restoration is seeking a Cleaning and Restoration Technician to perform carpet and floor cleaning and restoration services, while upholding company standards and delivering high-quality results.

The role emphasizes timely service delivery, accurate documentation, and ongoing learning with opportunities to pursue advanced restoration certifications and skill development.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills to determine equipment type and quantity.
• Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with computers, email, and portable devices used to report daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (e.g., stripping & waxing, etc.).
• IICRC certificates highly desired (preferred but not required).
• Advancement would include WRT, AMRT, ASD, MRS, FSRT.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services as offered by the company.
• Complete cleaning/restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work and maintain clean work logs and work orders.
• Maintain supplies and tools for company vehicles and ensure stock levels.

Cleaning And Restoration Technician Qualifications And Experience

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
• Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (i.e. Stripping & Waxing Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, etc.)
• Highly Desired Certificates from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
• Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)* preferred but not required
• Opportunities to advance into:
• Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
• Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
• Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD)
• Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS)
• Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT)

Cleaning and Restoration Technician Responsibilities

• Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services the company offers (Opportunities exist to earn Mold Mitigation; Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications and experience quickly). (Note: Compensation levels will reflect the experience level of the technician. Hourly rate increases as experience and certifications are gained in water mitigation, mold, trauma scene, and asbestos certifications are added. Commissions are possible on top of hourly rate)
• Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
• Demolition as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect completed work.
• Complete the technician’s daily log.
• Complete Work Orders.
• Maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of related supplies.
• Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry.
• Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards.
