Cleaning and Restoration Technician Job Summary

Assist in the timely and effective delivery of cleaning and restoration services.

Cleaning and Restoration Technician Qualifications and Experience

• Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
• Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
• Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
• 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (i.e. Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, etc.)
• Highly Desired Certificates from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
  • Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)* preferred but not required
• Opportunities to advance into:
  • Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
  • Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
  • Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD)
  • Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS)
  • Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT)

Cleaning and Restoration Technician Responsibilities

• Perform professional carpet, floor cleaning, and restoration services in alignment with company standards and available certifications.
• Document work accurately, including authorizations, daily logs, and work orders.
• Communicate clearly with customers, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities to add value or upsell services.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and inventory, keeping tools and materials clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Demonstrate accountability and growth, learning new technology, pursuing certifications, and upholding Voda’s quality and safety standards.
